Major realignment at Comedy Central

I'm sure that most of you don't even notice, but The Colbert Réport consistently gets about 1½ to 2 seconds more airtime than The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Explanations vary, but the most common themes are

• giving the new kid (Colbert) more airtime
  
• giving the guy who's been there longer (Colbert) more airtime
  
• giving our Commander-in-Chief more admiration
  
• the extra ad revenue pays for the Daily Show field correspondents
  
• counterbalancing the left-wing media bias of America's most trusted news source

On Monday's programs, though, that all changed. In an ending that would make Tony Soprano proud, Jon Stewart got 21 minutes and 31 seconds, while Stephen Colbert got only 21:30. Dip your cigar in that, Colbert!
